Here at the Rising Sun Inn, we offer small groups the opportunity to join with family, friends, and colleagues to enjoy a special private tea. Teas are available for groups of 8 - 24 participants. If your group is smaller or larger, please contact us, and we may still be able to accommodate your group.
Teas are usually scheduled for weekends, between 11am and 4pm, but we will try to accommodate your request for other days and times. Choose an Elevenes or Afternoon tea, with or with a tour (although, our tours are really special). Elevenses? What's that, you ask. Elevenses are a more casual, lighter affair with tea and sweets, while Afternoon Teas include finger sandwiches in addition to tea and sweets.
After enjoying your tea and if you choose the tour option, you will tour the Rising Sun Inn's main and second floor, learning about its history and its role in Anne Arundel County History. You will hear the many stories of the families who made the Inn their home, and about its history as a tavern, a stagecoach stop, a tea house, and more.
We invite you to slow down, step back in time, and join us at the Rising Sun Inn.
