The Rising Sun Inn Museum includes decorative arts made or used in this country prior to 1859. As the Rising Sun Inn was both a farmhouse and tavern, the collection focuses on pieces related to both home life and the tavern business. The current collection includes furniture, silver, pewterware, ceramics, and glass. Family documents and inventories have been carefully examined to furnish the house appropriately; work continues to be done identifying and authenticating provenance of historic artifacts associated with the Inn. |
