*** Because of the continued impacted of the pandemic, open house tours have been suspended temporarily in lieu of monthly public events by ticket only. However, private tours are still available by advance appointment. *** To help you plan your visit with us, we offer the following:
The Rising Sun Inn's address is 1090 Generals Highway, Crownsville, MD, 21032 (9 miles northwest of Annapolis)
The museum is open from March 1st through December 31st for public events with docent-led guided tours held on the second Sunday of each month from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. between March and November.
We are a museum, with original period pieces. We expect all our guests, big and small, to help us protect these treasures for future generations.
Admission is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 3 - 12 (under 3 are free).
Our Parking lot is to the right hand side of the entrance drive, and is historically accurate (upaved).
Please take care to keep our paved driveway open and clear at all times for safety purposes.
The Inn is not handicapped accessible, wooden steps must be used to enter and exit the building.
Access to the second floor is limited to docent-led tours only.
Written tour cards are available for hearing-impaired guests.
An Architectural Tour is available, weather permitting, between March and November. This guided tour features the Inn’s exterior and other features of the property and costs $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 3 - 12 (under 3 are free).
Inn and Architectural Tours can be combined together for a reduced price of $12.00.
